How Much does TRT Cost per month?

Cost of TRT

How much does TRT cost?

The cost of TRT in the UK will vary depending on the type of medication used. TRT starts from £79.99 per month which includes medication and follow up reviews with doctors. This also covers the cost of doctor’s letters, postage, referrals and other support.

Unlike with most clinics, we don’t have hidden costs for postage, doctor reviews, medication reviews and replacements for failed blood tests.

Consultation cost

For the initial consultation there are three options and they are tailored to make it more affordable:

The face-to-face consultation

This option is for patients who are not appropriate for a remote consultation, or who would prefer a face-to-face consultation with the doctor. You will be seen in one of our private clinic locations. These are available in a few locations with London and Southampton the most common options. Please contact us for more information.

The face-to-face consultation is £179.99

The remote consultation

Many patients will qualify for a remote consultation. This is at the discretion of our doctor, but is usually acceptable for patients under 45, with minimal medical conditions and appropriate blood test results.

Our remote consultation is priced at £149.99

The transfer consultation

Patients who are already on TRT and wish to transfer their treatment from other clinics or the NHS are offered a discounted consultation. The transfer consultation is priced at £99.99 for a remote consultation, or £149.99 for a face-to-face consultation, as applicable.

ADAM Questionnaire

Low Testosterone Test

The ADAM questionnaire has been shown to have 88% sensitivity in testing for low testosterone.

Monthly subscription

Our monthly subscriptions cover the cost of ongoing support from our team, including all necessary follow-up consultations. They also cover the cost of our services and staffing as well as your testosterone medication of choice.

Due to differences in medication costs, the different subscriptions are based on the cost of medication provided. We do not have hidden charges, unlike most of our competitors who charge for postage (usually £10-£12), reviews, doctor letters, referrals, travel letters and even changing medication!

Enanthate, Testogel

These subscriptions are £99.99 or £89.99 per month.

Atrevis Gel and VersaBase Creams

These subscriptions are £109.99 per month depending on the supply and dosage.

This subscription is £109.99 per month depending on the supply and type of Cypionate available.

HCG only subscription

Some men choose to trial HCG monotherapy to increase natural testosterone. This is priced at £69.99 – £79.99 per month depending on dosage.

We are always looking at ways that we can reduce medication costs for our patients, and our goal is to provide a manageable monthly subscription price that is affordable for as many men as possible, providing them with great service at a reasonable price.

Unlike other clinics, Optimale sends the medication directly to you so you don’t have to worry about finding specialist medications at your local pharmacy or online.

We stock all of our own medications to reduce the risk of stock issues, and our subscriptions include all follow-ups with doctors and support from our staff. We also do not charge for postage or admin fees, unlike most other clinics.

HCG add-on

If you are on a higher dose of HCG then you will use one vial of HCG per month, lower doses last around 10 weeks.

You can choose to have this added to your subscription on repeat or manual ordering. Single HCG vials are priced at £39.50, two HCG vials are priced at £75 and three HCG vials are priced at £105.

Aromatase inhibitors

Whilst our doctors aim to avoid the use of aromatase inhibitors, some men do require this due to higher body fat levels or a natural predisposition to higher oestrogen levels.

These are priced at £30 per pack and usually last over 4 months per pack.

Blood tests

Blood tests are a really important part of safe TRT. They are required before starting treatment to ensure you are safe to start and have appropriate levels for treatment.

They are also required at regular intervals whilst on treatment to ensure that you are not at risk from certain issues which can be produced in some people when they take testosterone.

These blood tests are required at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months on treatment then for every 6 months after that. Blood tests are not included in the monthly subscription. After every blood test you will receive advice and a review with a doctor, this is included in the cost of the subscription.
